Modern Rustic Shoot In Norway

You’ll notice I’ve been MIA for a little while. After leaving my full-time design position I’ve been busily working on my book – shooting in Norway the week before last and hopefully Holland next week. It’s looking SO good! I’m really lucky to be able to feature so many incredible, creative homes in my first book.

Here are a few tidbits from our trip to Oslo. (P.S. What I learned about Norwegians in 4 days: They all speak perfect English, they make great coffee and eat really healthily, they all ski and they’re all tall and good-looking).

This incredible view from the cabin we stayed in and shot on the first day.

Ski slopes right out the kitchen window!

And a slight hiccup as we left the cabin in our rental car and got a wee bit stuck on a hairpin turn. 20 minutes of shovelling and fighting off thoughts of being eaten by wolves and we were on the road again.

Our second and third nights were in a trendy Eco-friendly Oslo hotel with lots of bamboo and animal skins.

The beautiful buildings of Oslo, sadly only seen from the window of a taxi as we whizzed from one location to the next.

And this hilarious doll arm cup designed and made by a ceramicist and stylist whose flat we photographed. Look for a credit to her website when the book comes out.Lastly this cool combo of marble floors and colourful plastic chair at a coffee shop at the Oslo airport.

Stay tuned for snapshots from Holland. Tulips perhaps?
