The Unstyled Bouquet

It’s been a busy month: My book Modern Rustic is finished and ready for publication in October; I’m now developing my second book; I helped my dear friend and brilliant florist Yolly style the flowers for a wedding; and I’ve been on a two week shoot for a bathroom company where I had to design and source for 5 bathroom sets in a day and a half. I’m knackered!

Working with Yolly on the wedding flowers got me in the mood for styling flowers for this last shoot. What she does so brilliantly is this gorgeous loose, almost messy, rustic thing, using all sorts of containers for vessels – including some amazing old Pepsi and Tizer bottles.

I used some of my own mismatched bottles for a little display on the fake bathroom window below. Out with the perfect, stuffy bouquet and in with handmade, picked-from-the-garden messiness!
